Keep Looking Up to God
This is one of my many faults. I keep looking down at what is wrong in my life instead of trusting Jesus to take me through to the other side. Looking down, you worry. Jesus said, “be anxious for nothing,” because that is when you lose your peace and trust, which blocks your commune with Him. When that happens, we grow weak and sad, losing our joy which is our strength.
I have a bad habit of keeping my head down even when I pray. God said to me, “lift your head up and rejoice!” Sometimes, I get sad and God reminds me I am looking the wrong way. I need to look up and stand on His word with praise and thanksgiving. Yes, there are problems, but Jesus takes us through to the other side. We just need to trust in Him. I heard a preacher today talking about lifting up our heads, and I felt the Holy Spirit speaking directly to me.
Thank you, Jesus. For He is the lifter of our head.
Psalm 3:3
But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Psalm 143:8
Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee.
Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Micah 7:7
Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
