Let us Pray for Peace in this World
When we look around and see what is happening in the world, we could become frightened and worry. We must not forget God is still on His throne. Sin came into the world through Adam and Eve, but our victory is through Jesus dying on the cross. Even though we are sinners, God loved us, so much He gave His only Son so we could be saved. We have a choice to do evil or good; living in Jesus and the Holy Spirit will help us to choose the right road ahead of us. By Grace we stand.
A Biblical example is Rebekah. She had twins in her tomb, and the children struggled together with her. She could not understand because God gave her them. So she went to pray. God showed her that these two children she carried had a spiritual meaning. One baby believed and the other did not. This is like the two natures, sin and divine nature, within the believer. They struggle against one another, but that is what it means to have free will. We have the choice of how we want to live: a life for Jesus or Satan? Yes, we are all born into sin, but by Grace we are saved! That is why we call it Amazing Grace. God wants no man to perish. We have to choose what road we want to take in this life; a choice that determines our eternal life thereafter. May God shed His Grace on thee.
Genesis 25:23
And the Lord said to her: two nations are in your womb, two peoples shall be separated from your body; one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the older shall serve the younger.
1 John 2:16-17
16-For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17-And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.
John 3:19
[Jesus said] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Galatians 1:4
[Our Lord Jesus Christ] Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from the present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
1 John 5:19
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
