July 4th: Freedom for America

As Americans, July 4th is a day we celebrate our freedom and independence. It serves as a reminder to us that we were once oppressed, but now our Constitution protects us from such oppressions. Unfortunately, this freedom is not guaranteed all over the world.

As Christians, we have freedom in Jesus. His Spirit gives us daily freedom and access to His presence, and we are free from condemnation and death through Him. We can walk in peace and joy because of this freedom, which is new every morning. Unlike the freedom that is limited to us based on where we are born, freedom through Jesus is available to everyone, everywhere!

I have always been a very quiet person and shy. Before I was saved, I went along with people so as to not hear them be angry or argue because this is how my family was when I was growing up and even into my adulthood. When I became born again, He set me free! Free of fear, free of hatred. Now, I have His peace and love in my heart, and I walk in His Word-not the world's way.

I thank the Lord for His Holy presence in my life daily. He is my Lord and Savior, I want to praise Him always because of who He is and what He has done in my life. You can be set free, too! Not just have the freedom you are given by your country, but true, everlasting freedom through Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Let us continue to pray for one another that one day we might ALL be FREE!

John 8:36

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Galatians 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 Corinthians 3:17

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Romans 6:22

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
