Safe in the Arms of God
I have found comfort, safety, and care in the Lord. As I sat at my husband's grave side and they played taps and gave a twenty-one gun salute, my heart was hurting so badly. Then they folded the flag, and handed it to me. I later gave that flag to my unborn boy after he got out of the Marine Corps. Jesus held me in His arms during this horrible time in my life. When they put crime scene tape around my house, I fell apart and would not go back into my house for six months. Jesus carried me all the while, especially as I was five months pregnant and in a bad state of mind. My husband’s death was not a normal one. In my book, which can be found at the My Book tab above, I tell the story of his death and how God carried me through. Today my heart still hurts with the sad memories. I carry the pain, but Jesus took the sting away. I share my life of hurts, which we all have, so others may see how we can make it through, with Jesus.
He has also carried my children, and the family through. He is a great big God, who takes care of His children. We are safe in His arms; He promised us eternal safety in Him. We also have spiritual safety. He invites the weary to find rest in Him. Just open your heart and invite Him in. Repent of your sins, He will do the rest.
Isaiah 40:11
He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
John 10:28-29
28- [Jesus said] “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29- My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and not man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
Psalm 91:1-2
1-He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2-I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.
