Giving Yourself Cheerfully for Christ

Let us look around us and see if someone is in need of help in some way. Reach out. There are so many people around us who are in need-need of money, food, companionship, prayer, love and more. There are many lonely people inside their homes, wishing for a person, anyone to reach out. Sometimes just a word of encouragement is enough to change someone’s whole day.

My dad was 97 years old and was not able to go out, but he so greatly wanted to spread God’s love. So, I told him to call people, let them know he was thinking of them and praying for them. He did so much good reaching out to so many people, and they would always thank him and let him know how much it meant to them.

Small acts can mean so much when someone is missing God in their daily life. Let us humble ourselves so that we might be able to see the true needs of those around us. Let us love in word and in deed.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Luke 6:38

[Jesus said] Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom…

Proverbs 19:17

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will He pay him again.

Matthew 6:3-4

3-[Jesus said] But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4-That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret Himself shall reward thee openly.

1 John 3:17

But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
