The Man Who Gave His Life for Me

I remember the day I was saved. I was at home listening to a rock and roll radio music station. The song Amazon Grace came on, and it caught my attention that this song would be playing on a secular station. I had friends over at my house at the time, but something happened to me when that song started playing, and I truly listened to the words, that didn’t seem to affect anyone else. I felt like going into my bedroom and praying; that was odd for me. As I was praying, Jesus spoke to my heart and asked me if I wanted to give my life to Him or stay in sin. I thought, “Stay in sin? What an empty life!” I said to Him I wanted to be saved. He told me if I give my life to Him, I must live the life and walk the path He has prepared for me. At that moment, I pledged my life to Him, that I would walk on the road He asked of me. Sometimes-a lot of times-that road was very hard to walk, but I promised Jesus, so I obeyed and stayed faithful just as He is faithful. As I look back now with hindsight, even knowing what hard times would come, I still would not trade it for the empty world of sin. No matter what I went through, I was never alone; Jesus was always with me on the path.

Today, I use my blog to share my life of living for Him, to show how He takes us through to the other side in victory. To tell you even if the victory is just eternal life with Him in Heaven; it is enough. My heart is so touched by Jesus as I write these blogs that I can hardly type. I am so filled with love for the Master; He knows my name, wow!

Thank you for taking the time to read. I love you all.

John 15:13

[Jesus said] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

1 John 4:9-10

9-In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

10-Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be propitiation for our sins.
