God’s Truth

Truth is not subjective. God is truth, and we learn of God through His Word; it is more precious than gold. We need to carefully seek God’s truth, not try to insist on our own truth because at times we are wrong. God’s truth is never wrong, but people who interpret it to suit themselves are wrong. My dad had a saying “people make God in their own image.” How sad that is. If only they would read the Bible with a pure and open heart, they would see truth how God intended. It is of the most importance to believe the Word correctly, because it can result in the loss of a victorious life in Him; we could lose our soul if we do not believe through the lens of Jesus Christ as our Savior.

We should not just read and believe God’s word, we should obey it. Live it out in action because it is a mirror to our soul. Then, we will see God’s hand of blessing in our life, which does not always mean riches or money. Jesus is not a santa claus or magic genie. He provides in His time, in His way, according to His will. We must be cautious not to listen to preachers whose message is soley prosperity; let the Holy Spirit be your guide, He will lead you into all truth. Don’t get discouraged, just continue on His path, as you grow in Him you will see great harvests.

There were times I had no food to feed my children, and I found a bag of food on my front steps. Other times, I had no money for gas, but still was able to make it where I needed to go with an empty gas tank. He supplied my every need, and sometimes my wants, too. He has never failed me. I may not have always understood, but His ways are not our ways. So don’t get weary of doing well, but keep your mind on the Word, on truth! Those who seek to purposefully mislead or misuse the Word are considered liars. Be cautious of your words and your intentions, for God knows the hearts of men. Let us bring our truths before Jesus and compare them to what His Word says, seeking earnestly so that we might know THE TRUTH. Amen!
