God's Ways are Not Our Ways!

We have given our life to Jesus, so we are crucified with Him, and now He lives in us. As He lives in us, He guides us through our walk in life, which now belongs to Him, for we are no longer our own. Our life is an exchanged life: Jesus’s life for your life.

It is wonderful to know God is in control because too many times I messed up. Looking back, I am ashamed of myself, and I am thankful for His mercy that endures forever. Even now that I am saved for 54 years, I still make mistakes. If I am aware of them, I go back and correct them; if not, I know He will take care of it all. He knows we are made of dust. Knowing I do not face life alone is so comforting; He says, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” There are many lonely people in this world. Go to Him, He is right next to you!

I lived in a retirement village years ago, and I did a lot of hair for the elderly living there; I saw how lonely they were. I would cook meals and bring it to them and visit for a while, or go shopping for them and listen to them talk about their past. Sometimes they would ask me to do their hair for them when they died, and would even tell me what clothes they wanted to be buried in. For me, it was very heartbreaking. Sometimes, when they passed away, I would write a little note to the family, telling them about how their mom or dad would talk about how much they loved their children.

Jesus wants to use us to bring hope to a lost and dying world. Don’t sit idle, go out and touch the world in Jesus’s name!
