Does The Lord Hear Us?

In my prayer time today this verse came to me. Isaiah 49:9,

Thus says the Lord, “In an acceptable time I have heard You, and in the day of salvation I have helped You; I will preserve You and give You as a covenant to the people, to restore the Earth, to cause them to inherit the desolate heritages; that You may say to the prisoners, ‘Go forth’, to those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ They shall feed along the roads, and their pastures shall be on all desolate heights.”

As God spoke in days of old, He also speaks to His children today. And just as He heard His people then, He still hears us today. It may not be done through prophets or kings or burning bushes as it was then, but when Jesus gave His life to reconcile us with Our Father, He left us with His Holy Spirit and now the Lord is ever present within us. As Christians, we must use wise and discernment, always testing the spirits through prayer and confirmation in the Word and our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

When we cry out to God, we must sit and wait quietly to be able to listen for His answer. Whatever He says or how He answers us, we must be obedient. Even when we might not understand His answer, continue to pray and wait on Him for direction. When He told me to write a book, I thought “me, Lord? I am not a writer.” But, as I continued to pray and seek Him for an answer, He started to speak to me by putting so many scriptures before me that I was shocked. Then, my close friend called me and told me the same thing, which confirmed Jesus' Word to me. I was amazed.

During my writing, a lot of tears and emotions came up from the difficult things I had gone through. I realized as I was writing that the things I had gone through were a testament to the greatness and the glory of God. He had chosen me and He prepaid me for His path.

As I continue to write these blogs, I pray for them to touch the hearts of the people who are called to read it. I devoted my life to Him for however He wants to use me. I take it very seriously to be used by God, for I am only His servant. I know His hand is on me as I am writing. I know pain, heart ache, loneliness, sickness, depression; I have been through it, but God has delivered me every single time and I will never stop giving Him the glory and praise. Jesus has made the difference in my life, and I realize He is in charge of all things. I am sharing this so you know He can take you through! He hears you!

Psalm 34:17

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Psalm 34:15

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

Isaiah 65:24

[Thus saith the Lord] Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
