Why Was The Bible Given To Man?

There are many reasons for the written Word of God. These are just a few I want to touch on: To reveal who God is, to show us our need of salvation, to guide us in righteousness, to correct and mature us, and to bring us into eternal life. Mainly, His Word is one of God’s ways to communicate with us and guide us through life now that Jesus has already come and the time of the old testament prophets has passed. Sometimes we are misled by people, but that is when we are to search the Scriptures and find out for ourselves what is right unto Him. The word of God says the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. We must be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove on what and who we listen to. The Word warns us of false prophets who speak deception. The Bible was given to teach us of Jesus, truth, correction, and preparation to live for Him according to His will. He gives light and understanding to the Scriptures as we grow closer to Him. As we listen to a sermon or people discussing the Bible, we are to look into what they are saying for ourselves. Always confirm the Word for yourselves because sometimes people mean well and are sincere, but sincerely wrong. This is a large reason why I provide Scriptures to support each of my blog posts. My desire is for these blogs to touch the lives of many people, so they may believe and receive life and live more abundantly in Christ! We must always keep the Word in our heart, so when Satan comes to attack, we are not deceived by his lies

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Psalm 119:105

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalm 119:130

The entrance of Thy Words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

James 1:23-24

For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
