How Did Mercy See Us?
What greater love is there than this? Even when we are broken and lost in our trespasses, God looked at us through His Son’s eyes. We were helpless, wandering this Earth without strength and unable to save ourselves. But God, whose mercy is new every morning, did not leave us there. He laid our sins upon Jesus, who gave His own blood to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He quickened us; He made us alive together with Christ.
How did Mercy see us? The answer is found in the heart of a Savior who saw not just who we were, but who we could be through Him: In sin, yet deeply loved; in weakness, yet worth dying for; lost, yet diligently sought; guilty, yet offered full forgiveness; broken, yet chosen!
What a wonderful God we serve. We are no longer defined by our past, but by the Mercy that reached down and called us His! Thank you, Lord!
