Walking in the Flesh

As Christians, we must walk in the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. This is a daily necessity for us to prevent us from fulfilling our fleshly desires. The still, small voice of the Holy Spirit will guide us through life to help us suppress our sinful nature. It becomes easier as we grow in  Jesus’s image, but we must be cautious that we do not become idle in our walk. We should be reading His Word to help us understand His guidance and obey Him faithfully. We are called to walk by faith not by sight, a hard task without Christ by our side daily. We were all born in sin, so we must surrender to God; He will take care of the rest.

The flesh can get us into much trouble. Our enemy, Satan, deceives us, allowing our sin to seem harmless and fun. Without the wisdom and discernment of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we can hurt ourselves and others. Our actions impact more than just ourselves. If we do not humble ourselves and crucify our flesh, it could hurt our testimony of Jesus. Refusing to surrender our sinful nature can lead us to Hell. Jesus is our hope; He died to save us from ourselves, from our prideful, sinful ways, and to teach us how to live holy in Him. He loves us so much and wants none to perish, but we were given free will and He will not force us, eventually letting us go to our reprobate heart if we so choose. Do not be deceived; instead, walk softly on this Earth and seek Jesus! Living and walking with Him until we meet Him in Heaven for eternity.
