He is the 23rd Psalm
Jehovah-Roi: The Lord is my Shepherd.
Jehovah-Jereh: The Lord will provide.
Jehovah-Shalm: The Lord of peace.
Jehovah-Ropha: The Lord our healer.
Jehovah-Tsedkernu: The Lord of righteousness.
Jehovah-Shamnah: The Lord is there.
Jehovah-Nissi: The Lord is my banner.
Jehovah-Mekadolischem: The Lord is our Sanctifier.
These titles are given to God by His people for His mighty work in their lives. Throughout all the Psalms, we can find the solution for every problem and the answer to every question for the fulfillment of every need. Christ is all these things to us.
Jesus has supplied for us, through the cross of Calvary, all we need to live for Him. In the 23rd Psalm, David provides us an analogy where he is one of the Lord’s sheep. He is brought through trials to find food, land, protection, and guidance. Just as David describes, the Lord is a caring Shepherd. He provides, restores, guides, protects, blesses, and promises eternal life with Him to those who believe in Him.
We must realize who He is and how He works in our lives through the Holy Spirit to then find blessings overflowing beyond measure. But, He is not Santa Claus. He gives us what we need, for through His wisdom and omniscience only He sees in totality what is good for us.
I have walked with Him for about 55 years now, and He has never forsaken me. He has taken care of me and my family through many trials and hardships. He took us through to the other side, supplying all our needs and protected us through life. Once, I received a phone call from a strange man who I did not know, but he said he knew me. He threatened my life if I did not go to meet him, even saying he would hurt my children. I was frightened, but I trusted Jesus and we were all okay. I never heard from the man again. Jesus is our protector. Let us praise Him together, for God is good!
Psalm 23 A Psalm of David
1-The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2-He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
3-He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
4-Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
5-Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6-Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
