Standing on Holy Ground

What does it mean to stand on holy ground? It means knowing that God is in our presence. We must go to Him with reverence, humility and surrender all. Our hearts are His dwelling place, and we are called to be holy in His presence. When we are in our prayer closet, in tears, that place becomes sacred-holy. Let us bow on our knees before Him and enter into the presence of the Holy of Holies and worship our Savior and our Lord.

Exodus 3:5

And He [God] said, “Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.”

Joshua 5:15

And the captain of the Lord’s host said unto Joshua, “Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy.” And Joshua did so.

Acts 7:33

Then said the Lord to him, “Put off thy shoes from the feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.”
