The Cross

Salvation through the cross changes our character into one reflecting God’s image. He gives us a heart of love for people. I had many hurts in my life, as we all do, but through God we can forgive and we can receive people with love. Jesus has forgiven us, and now we have a grateful heart; so thankful, we must forgive others as He has forgiven us. Through Jesus I continue learning to trust Him and His word which heals the heart daily. In spite of our feelings, even when we cannot understand our way or situation, we still trust in Him. He knows the beginning to the end of our lives. We must trust, obey, and rest in Him; let no fear or obstacles frighten us.

Jesus did not sacrifice His life for our salvation in Heaven only. While we live He protects us, and as we rely on Him our personality changes into a peaceful, restful person-not anxious and uptight. We can walk in love and joy because He has filled our hearts with His love. Oh, what an awesome Heavenly Father He is.

The world is so angry, let us shine our light, for we are the salt of the Earth. Let Jesus in to renew our minds and hearts to be used for His glory. Wait on Him in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving in our hearts. Bow before Him in worship and praise, for He will guard your heart and mind and renew your spirit. Trust in Him, for trust is the language of the heart.

Psalm 37:5

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ezekiel 36:26

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you…

Romans 6:4

…As Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Philippians 1:6

Be confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…
