Peace from Above

Even as Christians, the struggles of the flesh can impact us. Tonight, I was a little anxious, though I know the Word tells us we ought not to be. So, I went into prayer; Prayer for my family, for myself, my loved ones, and the world. A great peace came upon me as I prayed and read my Bible. He really is our comforter and peace maker. As I prayed, I felt my body relax in His presence, my anxieties leaving and being replaced with His peace in my heart.

The more we pray and surrender our life to Him the deeper we grow. One touch of the Master's hand brings down His love and peace like an all consuming fire. He has filled my whole being with His presence- a soul cleansing energy. I am so inadequate to say what is in my heart and what He has truly done for me. I have no Earthly words to express how my Heavenly Father works in our lives, but I try my best, so please forgive me.

I know this much is true: we have great power in our prayers. Continual and habitual prayer, day or night, may seem like a lot of effort, but you will feel a great difference in your life. Jesus prayed, so did Abaham for Sodom, Jacob wrestling at Peniel and many others. If it was good enough for them, then it is good enough for us to be in God’s presence, and to worship our Heavenly Father. If we would only realize that perseverance in prayer is so necessary for being effective and victorious. Help us, Lord. Let us sit and abide at the mercy seat of God, go beyond the veil and see His Face shine down on us. We will never be the same!

James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

John 17:1

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to Heaven and said, “Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify Thee.”
