Are You Lonely?
There have been times I have been lonely and felt lost. One of those times was when I raised my four children alone. Many times situations came up that I didn’t know how to handle. I got down on my knees with tears, and in prayer asked Jesus to help me be a good Christian mother. My children may not have been happy with how God led me, but Jesus was there to help me through it all. I have always followed where God has led me in my life. I spent many lonely nights feeling like a failure. I cried out to Him because my heart was so lonely. Many people had different things to say about my life, but all I knew was I am walking close to Jesus and His word. I did not always understand the way He led me, I became down hearted. I continued in prayer and He would come and give me a special Word from the Bible and it would lift me up. As I read His words, I learned how many in the Bible have been lonely and how Jesus comforted them; then I knew I was not alone. The bible has an answer for every situation in life. He says in His word, “I will never leave or forsake you,” so don’t let satan make you think otherwise. Hindsight reveals many unseen answers, so just hang on. Paul speaks of feeling abandoned by people, but upheld by God. How wonderful!
Isaiah 41:10
[Thus saith the Lord] “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of righteousness.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
2 Timothy 4:16-17
16-At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
17-Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
