REPENTANCE

I still remember the day I got saved. Jesus gave me a choice if I wanted to be saved or stay in my sins. His presence was so great that I wanted what He was offering me: eternal life. It happened while my friends were visiting, smoking pot, and a song came on the radio-Amazing Grace. Right then, I walked away from sin, went into my bedroom, got on my knees and gave my heart to Him. I started to read my Bible, and I understood it for the first time. I have never looked back to that empty life again. What a wonderful God I serve.

Matthew 3:1-3

1-In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

2-And saying, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

3-For this is He who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: the voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.

2 Chronicles 7:14

[Thus saith the Lord] If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Matthew 4:17

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent: for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

Luke 13:3

[Jesus said] “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
