Let Your Light Shine
Let your light shine in this world of darkness; let it shine through you, for Jesus. He is with us in all we do.
Where there is weakness, His strength shines through us. Where there is sorrow, your light of comfort will shine through, just as Jesus comforts you. When there is pain, He is sitting right beside you; He will take you through. Where there is hatred, He can replace it with love and peace- just ask. Where there is hurt, He will heal your heart. Where there is lack of faith, He will fill you.
When my son went into the Marine Corps, I was very worried. Then my son asked me, “Where is there a better place to shine my light, but in this dark place? Light shines brightest in the dark.” Those words brought a great peace into my heart. And he did a great work for the Lord while he was there. Let us trust in Jesus in all things. Amen!
Matthew 5:14-16
14-[Jesus said] “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
15- Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16-Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.”
Philippians 2:15
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
Ephesians 5:8
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
John 8:12
Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for thy light is come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
