HELL

Hell is reality!

As a Christians, we do not want anyone to go to Hell, and neither does Jesus. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus did not come into the world to condemn it, but to save it. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but those who do not believe are condemned already.

The bible describes Hell in many different aspects, from Jesus’ own warnings and the path to Hell, to judgement and consequences, and repentance and deliverance. Today’s verses go into more depth in each of these aspects and depict a clear picture of how we are all sinners deserving of Hell, but through our Savior Jesus Christ have been saved from our fate.

By accepting Jesus into our hearts, we become new. Now we are walking in this newness of life, free from the punishment of our previous transgressions. So, give your heart to Him today by praying and asking Him to come and abide within your life. It is the best thing you will ever do in this world.

Jesus’ Warnings & the Path to Hell

Matthew 10:28

28-[Jesus said] And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Mark 9:43-44

43-[Jesus said] And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into the fire that never shall be quenched:

44-Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Luke 16:23-24

23-[Jeus said] And in Hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24-And he cried and said, “Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”

Matthew 7:13-14

13-[Jesus said] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14-Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

God’s Judgement & Hell as a Consequence

Revelation 20:14-15

14-And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15-And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Matthew 25:41

[Jesus said] Then shall He [God] say also unto them on the left hand, “Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

8-In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9-Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the glory of His power.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Repentance & Deliverance from Hell

Acts 16:30-31

30-And brought them out, and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31-And they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house.”

Luke 13:3

[Jesus said] I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Romans 10:9-10 & 13

9-That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10-For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

13-For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Psalm 86:13

For great is Thy mercy toward me: and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

Romans 6:22

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
