The Cross
We gained much when He gave His life on the cruel cross. First, He died for our sins, for we are all born in sin since the fall of Adam and Eve. When we give our hearts to Him and become born again, He is there to correct us and keep us on His path of righteousness- away from sin. Yes, we will fall and still sin, but He is always there to show us the right way to go. We are not perfect, just forgiven. This is the way we get to know Him better and trust Him more completely. We should not continually live in sin, but we will mess up sometimes. He then can show us the wrongdoing in our hearts, so we can repent and change our behaviors. He takes care of us, protects us, guides us; He goes before us and makes the crooked roads straight. He goes to His Father to pray for us. He loves us with all His heart, for there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for another. Everything that was gained for us came through the sacrifice Christ made on the cross. Without Him, we would all be on our way to hell.
I thank you, Lord Jesus, for all you have done for us. I love you, Lord!
Luke 9:23
