Lead by the Holy Spirit
We must pray for the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. The word says test the spirits and make sure they are of God. We must not be hindered by people's opinions. What does the Bible say? It has an answer for whatever lies ahead. He said He goes before us and makes the crooked road straight for us. He has led me for many years, even when I didn’t understand. I ask for confirmation of His guidance, and He has never failed me. Listen to the still, small voice in quiet prayer, for the Holy Spirit will bring peace and knowledge when you ask Him in faith. Trust in His answer and do not waiver!
I have experienced His guidance many times in my life, but one that has stayed with me vividly, and I often reference is this:
I was going to buy a beauty shop and the seller wanted $20,000. I went to the shop to pray for God’s guidance, specifically if this was His will for me. His answer to me was so clear, “You do not know what is behind the scenes.” I was going into contract signing when my lawyer said to me, “do not buy this shop, there is no good will”. Remembering what the Lord had said, we walked out of the deal. A few weeks later the same shop closed its doors. All the old customers went to another shop, and had I signed that contract, I would have been paying for no business at all. Instead, I was able to rent the same shop for myself and saved $20,000. This was all in God’s plan, as later on I would need that money to maintain the business. I obeyed His voice and knew that the Holy Spirit was watching over me. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
John 16:13
[Jesus said] Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.
John 14:26
[Jesus said] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Isaiah 30:21
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, “This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
