Why Are We More Comfortable With Baby Jesus?

Many of us are more comfortable with the baby Jesus because of His innocence, and the non-threatening nature of an infant. It is much easier for us to accept a Savior in a manger then a Lord who calls us to repent, obey, and surrender our lives completely to Him.

I sat down to ponder on this all day, and I thought how sad it is to not accept They are one in the same. I pray that my blogs bring you closer to Jesus, so you can see Him more clearly. He is a loving caring God, and His children do not need to fear Him. He brings peace and comfort to us.

Sometimes, we may prefer the baby Jesus came to us as because we can admire Him, but without truly changing our hearts. This is wrong of us, because the full purpose of Jesus coming as a child into this world was not for admiration, but to grow up, willingly sacrifice His own life, and then be resurrected in triumph over sin and death, so that we could all be saved! Baby Jesus in a manger shows us God’s tenderness and humility; Jesus on the cross and then resurrected shows us God’s power and divinity. We need to understand and accept both to truly know Him.

Let us pray and seek Him in totality, as He will soon return as King of kings to receive us once again. HIS NAME IS EMMANUEL; GOD WITH US!
