Jesus Gives Us Strength

When we feel weak, weary, or unsure of what tomorrow will bring, Jesus gives us the strength we need to overcome. We should not carry tomorrow’s burdens today, for tomorrow will come with its own uncertainties. We may not have strength for tomorrow yet, but we have grace for today.

Every morning Jesus gives us another opportunity to trust and grow in Him, walk with Him, and depend upon Him for strength. Many times I have prayed to the Lord Jesus to give me the strength for the day, and help me not to fear tomorrow; I have learned to trust Him day by day.

Many times Jesus has given me a word of trust, and sometimes I let my fear or uncertainty in, but He is graceful. He would remind me with a special word of warning and encouragement: He has already overcome, and victory is ahead! This Word has brought me so much peace in my life; learning to put my trust in Him and not fear, just rest in Him at all times. He has it all in control. I get so upset with myself for not resting in Him, but His love is renewed every day for His children.

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Psalm 28:7

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will praise Him.

2 Corinthians 12:9

And He [Christ] said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefor will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
