Long Days, Short Years
Life passes us by quickly, we must be cautious in how we spend our time. The Bible reminds us how precious our time on this Earth is, and we must ask ourselves, “am I using the days God has given me for Him?” or are we spending them worrying, complaining, and chasing the things of this world? We should be using them to love Jesus, serve others, and share the Gospel to all who will listen.
Let us forgive, pray, and make a difference for God’s kingdom. We cannot go back and live yesterday again, and tomorrow is not promised. Today is a gift of God, so let us go out and be used for His glory! There are many needs of others around us, so let us go and be the hand of our Heavenly Father to help those in need.
Jesus says if we give a cup of water, we are giving unto Him. Let us not waste the days God has placed before us; Let us live each day for Jesus, because though our days are passing quickly, the work we do for Him has eternal value.
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
James 4:14
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanish away.
Ephesians 5:15-16
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Psalm 39:4
Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.
John 9:4
[Jesus said] I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
