There is power in Jesus’ name. It carries authority, salvation, healing, prayer and victory. We live to bring glory to His name. I’m writing these blogs not for me, but to bring light to the world about who Jesus is and what He has done. As I write these things, I write them from behind the Cross; I want only for Him to have all the glory.
I want to lift Him up so we all will be drawn to Him alone. Let us grow closer to Him each day and grow to learn more of Him. His name brings us to the Father-what a privilege it is to know and be known by Him. His name is above every name! It brings victory because of who He is and what He has done for us on Calvary.
Where would we be today without Him? The unsaved have no one to turn to in their dark times, so they turn to drinking, drugs, and other things of this lost world. It’s true that these things may feel good for a time, and may even numb you or bring you joy for a while, but it is fleeting. Going to Jesus brings a different kind of peace. It can heal, save, protect and comfort us like nothing else can.
I have had many heartaches in my life, and if it were not for Jesus, I would have lost myself to despair, especially after my husband's tragic death. I will never forget the police telling me how he killed himself by accident. I was heartbroken for many, many years. It was a whirlwind of emotions, but Jesus took me and my family through all the hurts. One of the hardest things was the speculation of my involvement. I was questioned by the police, and even by the people in my life, but I was at church on the evening it happened. It was a beautiful Thanksgiving service, and I brought the kids with me.
I thank God for His help during those traumatic events because without Him, I don’t know what would have happened to me or my young family. I was six months pregnant at the time, and Jesus held me together through His love and mercy.
I write these things to show you I have known pain, but I give Jesus the glory for He has taken me and my family through to victory and healing.
Thank you, Jesus, for your precious care and love to heal the broken parts of me.
Philippians 2:9-11
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 14:13-14
[Jesus said] And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
