As we cry out in the darkness, alone in our bedroom, God hears us. He knows our hurts and our confusion. Even when we cannot see our way forward, He is near, guiding the way, clearing the path. He knows our distress and He does not leave us- He carries us.
When darkness surrounds us, let us remember our cries do not disappear into the air. Our cries reach our Almighty God, our Heavenly Father! He is our light, our refuge, and our deliverer.
As I grow in Jesus daily, I am learning how He hears us, and is right by our side. We may be crying, but we are not alone. In the dark moments, I have learned how close God really is. He is the Light that darkness cannot overcome.
When my husband passed away at the age of 29, I was in a great darkness. Jesus came and took me by my hand and led the way. Saying I was confused would be an understatement. I cried many nights, alone in the dark, so my children would not see me. I know they felt my hurt though; they were hurting, too. But Jesus carried us through; He took care of us when we would never have been able to take care of ourselves. I am so grateful for His presence in my life and my family’s lives. Let us pray one for another continually as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, so we may never feel alone in the darkness again. Amen!

Psalm 40:1-2
1-I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2-He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Psalm 30:5
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Isaiah 43:2
[Thus saith The Lord] When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
