When Our Strength is Gone

When our strength is gone, it is so easy to fall into hopelessness. We feel the weight of the world on our shoulders, but the Bible tells us that we do not have to carry our burdens alone. Instead, we should go to the “Rock that is higher than I.” He is the one who will lead you through the valley and onward to victory!

Many times I have lost the courage to go on. Yet, every time, the Lord found a way to send a word of encouragement to remind me that He is always right here with me. He speaks to us in so many ways, be it through the kind words of fellow Christian, the living Word of the scripture, or even the timely message of a sermon. Jesus knows exactly where we are and what we are facing. He remembers we are made of dust and meets us in our human frailty.

He takes us through it all-sickness, loneliness, deep sorrow, and even confusion. His love for us is so deep that we cannot understand it with our natural minds. It is beyond our reasoning. That is why when our strength is gone and we cannot see the path ahead, we must trust in Him, for He is God!

I encourage you: strengthen your faith! Even when we may feel our trials won’t end, don’t give up. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Our God will never fail us! Amen!
