You Will Pass Through
Today’s verses should serve as an encouragement to us that the Lord is with us, even in the midst of troubles. When my husband first died I was really messed up to the point my mom had to sit with me when I took a shower; I did not trust life anymore. I heard my family talking and they said, “she will never make it back to life again.” I would not even go outside. I was in a state of shock surrounding his death. I felt it was very evil. I was at church the night he died and my pastor said she saw the death angel over my house. I speak more about this in my book, “He Did It For Me,” which can be found at the My Book tab if you are interested. I was five months pregnant at the time of his death, which did not help the situation. I would not take any sedative medications; my thought was, “if I am going to pull through this, it has to come from Jesus.” It was terrible. I could not eat or sleep, and my mom was worried about the baby. One day, I was standing in my mom’s kitchen, and I cried out to God, “why couldn’t You have raised him from the dead?” The Lord spoke loud and clear saying, “No. This will be for My Glory!” At that time my friend bought me a book titled, “The Flames will not Consume You.” This book touched my heart so deeply along with many other testimonial books, and the Bible put me on the road to recovery. I stood on His word and walked the path He chose for me. Yes, bad things happen to us; He did not promise us a rose garden, He just promised to take us through to the other side. He helped me to understand His will for my life and to trust Him, for He knows the beginning from the end. Now hindsight has taught me much and to trust Him because He has it under control; He was always on His throne and still is. Joy will come in the morning if we just stay close to Him. Amen!
Isaiah 43:2
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flames scorch you.”
Daniel 3:25
He answered and said, “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Psalm 66:12
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.
Zechariah 2:5
“For I”, says the Lord, “will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.”
Psalm 46:1-3
1-God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2-Therefore will not we fear, though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3-Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled. Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
