Strength
Ever since I gave my heart to Jesus, I have walked in His strength. Through the deaths of my husband, parents, sister, divorce, sicknesses and many other hard times and disappointment in my life, He has been with me. I know He is alive today, because I know my own weakness; without Him I would not have made it through. His promises are true, yay and amen!
I have seen miracles, healing, and strength in hard areas of life. I remember when my son was hurt in school playing football during lunch and was rushed to the hospital. They called me at work and told me both of his knees had to have emergency surgery or he may not walk ever again. He was my strength and right up to the operating room door the doctor, my son, and me prayed for his operation, which was successful.
I stood at my mother’s death bed and took care of her until she said it was time to go to the hospital; she did not want to die in my bed. As I stood at her dying bedside my dad was beside us crying so hard, the nurse told me to talk to her, that she could hear us. I told her we loved her, and she opened her eyes and told me she loved me. That was the first time she ever said that to me. I miss her and my dad very much, but I know they are in Heaven, free from sickness and pain.
I have macular degeneration, and the doctor told me years ago I should be blind already, but I still have my vision. By God’s grace, I can see and the doctor and his staff are amazed year after year when I go in for my check-ups. Only Jesus’ hand is holding me up, so I can write these blogs and share my testimony of His greatness. I thank Him and give Him all the glory. He has wiped every tear from my eyes and filled me with His joy.
Let us pray one for another in Jesus’ name and see the victory; for one day He will return for us, to receive His children.
Deuteronomy 33:25
Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
Isaiah 40:29-31
29-He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.
30-Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31-But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
9-And He [the Lord] said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10-Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
