Walking With the Lord

We are to live in obedience, faith, light, and humility while walking with our Lord. I have learned through the years to listen closely to His guidance; He has never led me wrong. Even when it hurt, He was my protector and guide.

When I owned my beauty shop there was a girl that came in who was mentally unstable, and I was not aware of it at first. She wanted her hair washed and washed it as she talked to me and my daughter about much of her unhappy life. As we listened and talked with her about Jesus, my heart went out to her; this hurting girl. The next day, two police officers came to my shop, asked me if we had seen her, and to not to let her in anymore because the night before she had attacked and hurt one of the officers pretty badly. She was dangerous.

Jesus was there taking care of me and my daughter as we shared His love with a hurting girl, and He protected us from any harm. From that day forward, I had to keep my door locked when she was around. It is so sad how many hurting people there are in this world, but He loves everyone of them, and He died for us all!

Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
