When Satan Attacks with Lies

As we continue to walk with Jesus, we are growing, so He allows satan to have his way. Paul warns that satan comes as an “angel of light,” so we must beware of his tactics. We learn how to recognize satan's tactics, and therefore how to avoid them. Every day is a new growing  experience. We should be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove, for “he goes around as a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour.” Sometimes his lies are so real, I fell for his tramp and got down for days. It was not until I went to Jesus in prayer did He show me the truth. This taught me to pray more and seek Jesus more and not go by my own thoughts. I thank Jesus for being so patient with me. Let us not be so hard on ourselves, He knows we are made of dust. I love growing in Him, everyday there is something new to learn.

Genesis 3:4-5

And the serpent said unto the woman, “Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

Satan will twist God’s words and deceive us, that is his nature.

John 8:44

[Jesus said] “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Matthew 4:3-4

3-And when the tempter came to him, he said, “if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.”

4-But He [Jesus] answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Matthew 7:15

[Jesus said] “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep;s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

There are so many ways Satan can come against us. One being through the lies of false prophets; this is why it is important to study and know the bible.

2 Corinthians 4:4

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Paul tells how satan, referred to as “the god of this world” blinds the minds of unbelievers, stopping them from seeing the truth of the Gospel.

Acts 5:3-4

But Peter said, “Ananias, why hath satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, was it not thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.”

Matthew 4:5-7

5-Then the devil taken Him [Jesus] up into the holy city, and setteth Him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6-And saith unto Him, “If Thou be the Son of God, cast Thyself down: for it is written, He shall give His angels charge concerning Thee: and in their hands they shall bear Thee up, lest at any time Thou dash Thy foot against a stone.”

7-Jesus said unto him, “It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”
