In Remembrance of 9/11

September 11th is a very somber day in our nation’s history, but it is also another day for us to look to God and have hope. Hope to see the work of His mighty hand in our individual lives and the life of our nation, for He has a perfect plan.

Today is my grandson’s 24th birthday. We were still living in NY in 2001, and he was born in the very early morning hours, much sooner than he was expected, causing the family great worry. We all were at the hospital to provide each other comfort and support. We didn’t know it at the time, but God was working. My eldest son was scheduled to be at the Towers, but instead was at the hospital with all of us. I pray for all the Americans who lost someone on that day due to a heinous act of terrorism.

This year, the anniversary of the September 11th attacks against America and her freedoms is even heavier with the senseless murder of Charlie Kirk. I ask for prayer for his wife and their two young children. He was a man who stood up for righteousness in this dark world of sin and the price was his life. But death can’t do anything to a believer, except deliver him to Jesus! Not just as Christians, not just as Americans, but as human beings made in the image of God, we need to unite and stand up against these acts of violence. We know we are not fighting against people, but against Satan and the forces of darkness. Satan hates us, for we worship a living God, and he is trying to shut us up through fear. Charlie Kirk was not afraid. He gave his life for the Gospel! Christians, where are you hiding? Stand up and be counted for the Gospel’s sake! Let us join together, crying out to our Heavenly Father to save this lost world. We will not stand down out of fear; we will be even more determined, even more resolute in our mission; we will cry out to God even louder! God hears our prayers and is moved with compassion for His people.

Let us do our part and continue the good fight Charlie Kirk and many others before him fought and have died for. His life is not wasted, it is a wake up call! Let us start warring in the spirit of prayer and storm the gates of Heaven for God’s hand to move in victory over the evil of this world. God has a perfect plan.

It is time for action!
