What is God Like?

The Bible is the pure, unadulterated, living Word of God. His message to us is both complete and eternal. I believe what it says in totality and its truth is self-evident. Today’s verses speak more to the pureness of God’s character more than I ever could in my own words. I encourage you to read these verses and let them speak to your spirit to go deeper in Christ.

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Isaiah 6:3

Exodus 34:6

..The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering and abounding in goodness and truth..

Lamentations 3:22-23

22-Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. 

23-They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Deuteronomy 32:4

He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise…but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Psalm 34:8

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.

Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Malachi 3:6

For I am the Lord, I change not.

Psalm 139:1

O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
