The Road to Calvary, Part II
Let us stay on this road to Calvary so you may see Jesus one day. It is the only way we will truly walk free, surrendering all of self to God. Some people say, “why?” If you don’t accept Jesus you will walk in defeat with satan tormenting you. Satan hates Jesus, and he knows this is how he can hurt Him-by taking you. Sin will lead you on a path to destruction, deeper into a burning hell at the end of your life, eternally separated from God. Jesus brings us from death into life ever-lasting. We come from a child of darkness into a child of light through God’s only Son; He meets every need.
The road to sin is wide and pleasant, but only for a season. The road to Calvary is narrow, but at Calvary we find freedom.
Lord, please take our pride from us, let us bow our knee at the foot of the cross and not be stiff-necked people. For Jesus bowed His head on the cross for us as we were yet sinners so we may be set free! Dying to self is not done all at once, it will take our whole life time to stay humble at his feet-which is most important. We are not perfect, only Jesus is. If you really love Him, you will surrender all. Look ahead to Heaven, to eternity.
Love to all!
Luke 9:23
And He [Jesus] said to them all, “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
Matthew 7:13-14
[Jesus said] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Chris liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Philippians 3:10
That I may know Him [Jesus], and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.
