The Bible

When we hear the Word, which is a two-edged sword, it cuts deep to our bone marrow, and we receive His power and victory. When you speak His word to others the Bible cuts deep into their heart. God tells us that His Word does not return void. It will accomplish what God wants it to. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to work on the person's heart from there on. The Bible says the Word of God is as a sharp two-edged sword-powerful and able to reach the deepest parts of our heart. Jesus also speaks of His Words as having a divine authority, and tells of how it is part of our spiritual armor. To be used daily against the enemy. The Word accomplishes His purpose. His word convicts, comforts, corrects and heals,as well as judges sin and reveals truth to those who are humble before God. It cuts away falsehood and pride while bringing life, wisdom, and hope to those who receive it by faith. When we read, believe and obey God’s word, He transforms our hearts into the likeness of Christ.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart.

John 6:63

[Jesus said] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Ephesians 6:17

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:

Isaiah 55:11

[Thus saith The Lord] So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
